How I work

Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy can help with all types of emotional distress.

My focus is on empowering individuals to find their own solutions and best way forward through being listened to, understood, accepted and fully supported.

Although I have professional expertise, my way of working puts clients at the centre of their own journey. You are the expert on you. However, I can offer certain tools and meditation practices which may help you find a way through your current difficulties.

It is often easier to be open about your feelings, fears or troubles with someone who doesn’t know you. To talk in a safe and confidential space without the fear of judgement or prejudice. I can help you make sense of what is going on. Help you to find some peace, free of emotional pain.

I offer face to face counselling in Lossiemouth, Moray, in a comfortable, confidential environment. We can also connect via online video platforms.

Online work has become popular and offers opportunities to access counselling from a convenient place that suits you. In addition to my Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy, I have a BACP accredited Online and Telephone Counselling qualification which allows flexibility to see clients in a confidential setting of their choice –  home, work or even a car.

I am registered with COSCA, Scotland’s professional body for Counselling and Psychotherapy and work within its Ethical Code of Practice.

I am happy to have a free introductory call with you to explain more about what to expect and how the process works. Some clients feel better after a few sessions, others opt for longer term counselling. Regular reviews ensure we can check how things are going and plan for an ending when the time is right for you.
