Private Practice

My fees for private self funding adult clients are within the standard range for private therapy in Scotland and discussed with clients based on affordability. I also work with clients via online sessions across the UK and beyond. Please do contact me to find out how I can support you.

My sessions are 1 hour as standard, but can be extended up to 1 hour 30 minutes if requested.

I’m registered for Health Insurance work with Healix, Aviva and Vitality Health and am working to expand this network of providers. My rate for Health Insurance psychotherapy is £100 per session.

How much does counselling cost in Scotland?

Fees generally vary from approx £30 to £70 in Scotland and sessions offered range from 45 minutes to 1 hour. Rates for children start at approximately £25.

Can I get free therapy?

In addition to private work, I volunteer for two charities. It can be possible to get free therapy.

Grief and Loss:
I volunteer for Cruse Scotland Bereavement which offers free 1:1 support for clients 6 months after a death. Check out the options and information here. Early support sessions are available from Cruse as well, via single sessions or groups.

I support clients privately at all stages of their grief, in the immediate aftermath or sometimes many years after.

A bereaved client has given permission for me to share her counselling experience, she was keen to encourage others to seek help and find hope again.

“Counselling with Chloe has been my salvation after I had seen desolation. I see the change in myself and so do other people. It’s been such a help to find ‘me’ again”. Margaret, aged 70.

Perinatal Counselling and General Therapy:
I volunteer for CrossReach Counselling Moray which offers a donation based service for Perinatal clients and also general therapy.

This is a more affordable way to access therapy and CrossReach does not turn people away if they are unable to make a donation. See info here for the specialist perinatal service which covers anxiety, depression, baby loss including during pregnancy or in previous pregnancies.

Fertility struggles, pregnancy and postnatal stress, anxiety and depression, traumatic births, baby loss are significant experiences creating deep and long lasting impact.

I am trained and experienced in these fields. In addition to my volunteer work for Cruse and CrossReach,  I offer private counselling for pregnant and post natal clients and partners including baby and child bereavement.
